Steelers hold off Saints 16–10
The Pittsburgh Steelers beat the New Orleans Saints 16–10, taking the lead for good on Boswell’s field goal at halftime and protecting it with an interception and a clock-draining final drive.
Rodgers found Washington for a 4-yard touchdown in the second quarter, but Shough answered with a 1-yard touchdown pass to Vele on fourth down. Boswell’s 47-yard field goal put Pittsburgh ahead at the half.
Wilson intercepted Shough at the Pittsburgh 11 in the third quarter, and Boswell capped the ensuing drive with a 39-yard field goal. Carlson missed from 52 yards in the fourth. On Pittsburgh’s final possession, a defensive offside penalty nullified a Boswell field goal and gave the Steelers a first down, allowing them to run out the clock.
Aaron Rodgers went 19/30 for 212 yards and a touchdown, while Jaylen Warren carried 18 times for 101 yards. Tyler Shough went 30/38 for 278 yards, a touchdown and an interception for New Orleans.
