About

Catch up on any game in two minutes

Pigskin Summarizer publishes a short recap of every finished NFL game: the final score, what decided it, and the players and moments that mattered. College football is next.

How a recap is made

  1. 1

    Wait for the final

A scheduled job checks ESPN's public scoreboard. When a game is final, it waits about 45 minutes for the official stats to settle.

  2. 2

    Pull out the facts

Code turns roughly 200 plays into a short fact sheet: scoring plays, drive results, turnovers, big plays, the final minutes and the box score.

  3. 3

    Write one recap

An AI model writes the recap from that fact sheet only. It is told not to add quotes, injury details or anything else that is not in the data.

  4. 4

    Check it

Every score, number and name in the draft is checked against the fact sheet. A recap that fails is not published.

  5. 5

    Publish once

The recap is stored and shown to everyone who opens the game. Reading it never triggers another AI call.
